Early Learning and Intervention

Children First’s Early Intervention Coordinator (EIC) is a vital resource for families, providing expert guidance and personalized support by answering questions, making referrals for further evaluation, and monitoring each child’s developmental progress. The EIC facilitates a seamless support system coordinating on-site, recommended services, including occupational, physical, and speech-language therapies, for children with diagnosed conditions such as developmental delays, autism, or sensory processing disorder. The EIC also manages partnerships with external providers like Sertoma Kids, Sensory Solutions, and The Florida Center for Early Childhood to ensure children receive comprehensive care, at no cost to families. In the classroom, the EIC is instrumental in helping teachers implement effective accommodations and learning modifications which directly contributes to the child’s success in the educational environment.
